Water Meter - Helps to determine: bacteria and water treatment rates, proper fish medication dosings, useful for calculating fish stocking levels. Fits directly on to a spigot with garden hose thread swivel adaptors. Easy to read odometer, lets you know exactly how much water is in your pond. This water meter features an easy-to-read odometer type reading in single gallons (down to the tenth) and an additional rotary dial with a sweep hand reading one tenth of a gallon per revolution with graduations down to 1/100 of a gallon (1.28 oz). There is also a trickle indicator showing if there is any flow at all to detect leaks. Total registration on the water meter is 10 million gallons, but the meter will last much longer than that. This meter is quality constructed of nickel plated waterworks bronze according to ISO 4064 Standards for accuracy, quality and length of life. Note: In many towns you can deduct your garden, irrigation or pool water usage to reduce your sewer charge on your bill. This alone will pay for the water meter in less than 30 days in most cases. Please contact your town or water company, our meter is approved by most of them. To calculate your water use, pick a starting point at which to read your meter; record the reading and date. After filling what is is you want to measure, read your meter again. Subtract the first reading from the second to find out how much water was used, for example: Second Reading = 1256240 First Reading = 1255190 Water Used = 1050 gallons Note: This meter does not have a reset to zero function. To calculate amount used, you will need to write down meter reading at start of fill and the meter reading an end of fill. Subtract beginning reading from finish reading to calculate total gallons used.
